Then mark them with a pensil. Add a shim every 6" to 12" of raised area until there is no gap and mark them with a pensil. WebI would shim the tank the best you can to level it, with an actual level, not using the waterline to judge. Uneven tanks cause unwanted pressure. WebMar 9, 2024 · It is a massive stand made out of 3 1/2" tubular steel. We had to double up on the shims in some places. The stand is so massive, there was zero movement of the stand even before shimming. I trust these shims, but will recheck the tank level before filling the tank. Lucas&kim.
