WebOct 30, 2016 · Start by removing the bolts then gently pull, the rubber "trim" against the fender or door has double sided tape on it, it will come off with a little effort. Just go slow. You will have some remaining adhesive you will need to remove with Goo Gone, eraser wheel, WD-40, 3M Adhesive remover, etc... WebDec 10, 2008 · I feel fender bulges/cracks is a related issue I have on my FJC. Well I've been trying to find out since 15 Oct 07 if Toyota was going to fix my FJ & found out today. Toyota Corporate is Not going to back their product or honor the warranty on my FJ Cruiser - excuse is that it's lifted & it's a user issue not a product/design problem.
