Web1994 - Birkwith Cave Trevor Kemp, an inexperienced diver, disappeared in the final 20m sump whilst on the through trip from Old Ing to Birkwith with a less experienced diver. The diver was found dead the next day some 3m from the line and about halfway through the sump near a “letter box” constriction.
